Louvenia (Williams) Mcrae

Louvenia Williams McRae, 73, of Laurinburg, died Saturday, June 24, 2023 New Hanover Regional Hospital.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Fairley’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Blanche Williams.

Born on August 24, 1949 in Scotland County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Viola Pegues Williams. Louvenia loved her Lord.  She enjoyed having a good time and spending time with her family; especially the grandchildren. She was very crafty and she liked fishing and gardening. She is survived by her children, Latoya Swain, of Wilmington and Robert Dale McRae, Jr., of Laurinburg; brother, Robert Williams of Laurinburg; three sisters, Cherry Ray, Annie Deloris Graham and Thomasina Williams all of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren, Robert McRae, Jr. III, Travion McRae, Justin McRae, Maniyah McRae, Traymane Pearson, Viliria Pearson, David R. Swain, Louvenia M. Swain, Brandon C. Swain; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Charles Williams, Marion Edward Williams, Carl Lee Williams and Roy Lee Williams.
