Louise Smith, 65, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Jay Winston. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband William B. "Bill" Smith; three sons, Billy Smith and wife, Tina and Michael Smith and wife, Jennifer of Laurinburg, and Robbie Smith and wife, Mamie of Wilmington; three sisters, Betty Hammonds of Wilmington, Mary Sutherland of Maxton, and Ann Howell of Andrews, SC; six grandchildren, Colleen, Garrett, Ian, Grantt, Lauren, and Claire Smith.
Born May 20, 1944 in Hamlet, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Sue Long Smith. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and was a faithful teacher at McColl Elementary School for 20 years. She was also a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
