Mrs. Louise Gibson Neal, 95, of Scotia Village died Saturday, June 19.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Morris Morgan Room of Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stan Smith and the Rev. Nancy Willard. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth McLaurin and Polly Edwards, both of Scotia Village; 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Tom Gill Neal; two brothers, Clyde W. Gibson and Henry F. Gibson, Jr.; three sisters, Myrtle Howell, Margaret Neil, and Meta Gibson.
Mrs. Neal was born April 20, 1909 in the St. Johns community near Gibson, a daughter of the late Henry Franklin and Elizabeth Henderson Gibson. After attending Greensboro College, Mrs. Neal worked as secretary for Hamlet Supply, the Clerk of Court in Laurinburg and finally for Sinclair Lumber Company. Her greatest loves were her family and friends, antiques, her dachshunds, and especially the color red.
