Mrs. Louise Smith Coburn Smith, 82, of Hastings Nebraska, formerly of Laurinburg died Tuesday August 9, 2005 at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday August 13, at First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. L. D. Kimrey. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born August 17, 1922 in Laurinburg, NC a daughter of the late Thomas R. and Nellie J. Inman Smith. She graduated from high school in Laurinburg. On July 18, 1946 she married James Thomas Coburn and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1983. She worked at First United Methodist Church, Dana Corporation and the Medicine Shoppe in Laurinburg. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Senior Women Sunday School Class, Secretary of the Young at Heart Club, Silver Scots and VFW Auxiliary. Later, she married Robert G. Smith and he preceded her in death. She moved from Laurinburg to Hastings, Nebraska in November of 2004 to be near her daughter, Dana Odom.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James Coburn and Robert Smith and three sisters, Annie Currie, Tinky Rushin and Georgia Herman.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dana and J. Phillip Odom of Hastings, NE., her grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy Corwin of Omaha, NE., Vandee and Ryan Samelson of Grand Island, NE., Sion and Stacie Odom of Lincoln, NE., four great grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. and Annie Laurie Smith of Laurinburg, her brother-in-law Jack Rushin of Laurinburg.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg
