Mrs. Lonnie Martin Douglas, 81, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 at her home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dr. Thomas Marshall, the Rev. Dick Bailey, and Russell Johnson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Douglas; her sons, Frank Douglas (Cathy) of High Point and Wayne Douglas (Irene) of Laurel Hill; her daughter, Lorraine D. Sampson (Charles) of McColl; her brother, Ronald Martin (Brenda) of Salt Lick, KY; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Born February 22, 1931 in Menifee County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Clifton and Gusta Heizer Martin. She worked with Morgan Mills in her early years, but most of her career was spend as a bookkeeper with her husband's home supply sales.
Lonnie loved her family friends and gardening; always placing the needs of others before her own.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
