Lois Marie Carmichael Muse

Lois Marie Carmichael Muse, 87, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by Dr. Neal Carter and Rev. Henrietta Carmichael.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Muse (Delia) and Rusty Muse (Sandy) of Laurinburg; her daughter-in-law, Susan Muse; her brothers, John Carmichael (Henrietta) and William Carmichael (Courtney) of Laurinburg; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Born November 2, 1927 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late John Duncan and Esther Parks Carmichael. She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Muse and son, William R. Muse, Jr.
Lois served as a teacher for over 41 years, teaching locally at Covington Street, Central, and I. Ellis Johnson schools.
During her retirement she enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for Laurinburg Presbyterian Church, 600 W. Church St., Laurinburg, NC 28352, Hospice, PO Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353, or the Bill Muse Memorial Scholarship, Montgomery Community College, 1011 Page St., Troy, NC 27371.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
