Lloyd Whitt

Lloyd Whitt, 82, of Wagram, NC passed away on January 25, 2018.

A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at McDougald Funeral Home Bumgarner Chapel officiated by speaker Wayne Heck.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Lloyd was born March 11, 1935 to the late Lillie Whitaker Whitt and Romey Garland Whitt, one of seven boys and three girls. He spent his young life farming with his family. He worked for many years for Springs Industries in Lancaster, SC and then moved to Wagram to work for JP Stevens until retirement.  After his retirement, he continued to work for Stout Turkey Farms.

His greatest love was hunting and fishing and he managed to buy a farm on the salary of a loom fixer in the Sandhills of NC. He was most proud of that accomplishment.

He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Connie Nelly (Morton) Whitt; five daughters, Barbara Miner (Thomas) of Reno, NV, Judeen Johnson (Jimmy) of Wagram, Emily Whitt of Southern Pines, Melanie Wright and Sonya Whitt both of Wagram. He left eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He has one surviving brother, General Whitt of Wagram and a sister, Phyllis Simpson of Lancaster, SC.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
