Lloyd Ray Rose, 64, died suddenly Thursday, February 17, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Spring Rose; two sons, John Giles (Nicole) and Jerry Rose (Angela) of Laurel Hill; three grandchildren, Kayla Giles, Stephanie Giles, and Brent Giles.
Born December 10, 1946 in New Hanover County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Josephine McIver Rose. He served with the US Army for 20 years, and was a member of the DAV and the Hamlet VFW Post. He loved his grandchildren, Woodworking, fishing, and his cats.
