Lloyd Costner Brigman, 83, died Wednesday, February 11, at Morrison Manor.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Ralph Brown and Roy McCook. Private burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Quick Brigman; two sons, Lloyd C. "Boo" Brigman, Jr. and wife, Gwen of Martinsville, VA and C. Michael Brigman and wife, Susan of Dalton, GA; a brother, David Brigman of Apopka, FL; four grandchildren, Lloyd C. (B.J.) Brigman of Martinsville, Chase Brigman of Greensboro, Matthew Brigman of Williamsburg, and Maria Brigman of Athens, GA. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Estelle Lackey and Mabel Watts and a brother, Fred Brigman.
Born January 27, 1926 in Robeson County, he was a son of the late Duncan A. and Ettie Shaw Brigman. He served with the US Navy in World War II, was a retired employee of Fieldcrest Mills, and was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. Friday at the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church.
