Linda (Livingston) Smith

Linda Livingston Smith, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at her home.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dwayne Powers and Rev. Jerry Mims. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel, prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance for visitation will be monitored and seating will be limited for the service.

Born July 28, 1946 in Marlboro County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ed Livingston, Jr., and Mattie Downer Livingston. She owned and operated an automotive repair shop. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She enjoyed cooking, especially cakes and pies, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Lorna Hudson (Ronnie) and Katherine Wainwright (Tom), all of Gibson, and Suzanne Ellis (Michael) of Laurinburg; stepchildren, James Smith, Jr. (Diane) of Savannah, GA, Mark Smith, Suzette Holloway (Kenny), Tammy Pate (Keith), and Tommy Taylor, all of Laurinburg, and Timmy Taylor (Sue) of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Gwen Norton, Dylan Ellis, Amber Smith, John Holloway, Sarah Holloway, Ashleigh Hudson, Stephen (Heather) Hudson, Dusten Hudson, Bryan Locklear, Josh Pate, Amanda Pate, Cale Smith, Crystal Johnson, and Angie Hudson; great grandchildren, Maddyx Norton, Kaori Ocasio, Nathan Hutchison, Jameson Bennett, Seth Lee, T.J. Lee, and Nathan Autry; sister-in-law, Shirley Johnson; special friends, Linda Sessoms and Lindsey Perkins; and her companion, Speedy. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, James Smith, and her brothers, Don Livingston and Richard Livingston.
