Mr. Leon Franklin Walters, 54, of 701 Morrison Road died Wednesday, February 16, at his home.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. The committal will follow in Argyll Crematorium.
He is survived by a son, Christopher L. Walters and his wife, Melodee of Burgaw; a sister, Shirley Smith and her husband, Howard of Maxton; two step-grandchildren, Tammy Powell and Brandon Jordan of Burgaw; two nephews, Robert Smith and his wife, Kim of Smithfield and Neil Smith and his wife, Belinda of Clayton; a niece, Donna Hemphill and her husband, Ed of Central, SC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya Walters.
Born April 15, 1945 in Laurinburg, he was a son of the late James F. and Lucille Morgan Walters. He was a carpenter.
