Mr. Lennart Hill "Len" Lawson, 89, of 22581 Hoyl Circle died Saturday, June 23, at his home.


A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will be July 3 at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmstead, OH.


Mr. Lawson was born September 12, 1911 in Providence, RI and was a son of the late Aaron and Avivida Johnson Lawson. In addition to his wife, Charlotte June Lawson, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ebba Nelson, Helen Rondi and Ruth Lawson.


Mr. Lawson served his country in World War II in the Navy from 1943 until 1946. He was a retired plant accountant for Eaton Corporation. Following his retirement he worked with Scottish Foods in catering and later as a sales clerk with Sinclair Building Center. He was president of the Growing Friendship Club from 1978-1980 and was an active member of Lodge 305 Masons and of the Laurinburg Kiwanis Club.


He is survived by two sons, Robert Lawson and Charles Lawson; a daughter, Linda Lawson and a friend and neighbor, Lella Barrett.
