Lena Turner Horne

Mrs. Lena Turner Horne, 94, of 307 Willow Street died Monday, August 9, at Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. at the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mike Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Born December 15, 1904 in Gibson, she was the daughter of the late Judson and Nora Harold Turner. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters; Martha Yoos of Laurinburg and Christine Jackson of Brooksville, FL, two sons; James L. Horne of Hamlet and Prentis Horne of Port Allen, LA, thirty one grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
