Laura Susan (Ennis) Brown

Laura Susan Ennis Brown, 63, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel in Laurinburg, officiated by Rev. Daniel Main. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to Covid-19, we still ask that all attendees please wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.

Born January 30, 1958 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Hunter V. and Laurene Tyndall Ennis.  She was a Loan Officer and had worked for Richmond Savings and Loan and Scotland County Savings and Loan.  She attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church and made sure her family was always in church.  She was a loving wife and mother.  She loved her dog, Floppy, family time, going to the beach and eating out.  She also enjoyed cross stitching and exercising.  Her home was one of the places in the neighborhood for the kids to hang out.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Terry W. Brown of the home; daughters, Teri B. McDonald and her husband, Lucas of Hamlet and Lauren H. Brown and her fiancé, Stephen Crutchfield of Pinehurst; one grandson, Talan Stoner; two step-granddaughters, Hailey and Kaitlyn McDonald; one sister, Karen Elizabeth Sartori and her husband, Karl of Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada; one nephew, Kevin Lammonds and his wife, Joanna; one great niece, Bessany Lammonds; one great nephew, Hunter Lammonds; and a MeMa to many other children in the  community.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, Inc., 1119 N. US Hwy. 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
