Mr. Lauch Dixon "Dickie" McKinnon, Jr., 73, of 521 Atkinson St. died Monday, February 28, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Nick Mager. Burial will follow in the McKinnon Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen Carter McKinnon; a sister, Sarah "Panky" Greene of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Martha Campbell of Chapel Hill.
Born June 24, 1926 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Lauch D. and Ellie Mae McKinnon. He was a graduate of NCSU and was in management and industrial engineering with Waverly Mills for 38 years. He was also a former deacon at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church and treasurer of the McKinnon Cemetery Fund.
Visitation will follow the burial at McKinnon Cemetery.
