Mr. Larry Wayne Lofton, 58, of 305 Ivey Street died Monday, January 10, at Century Care in Laurinburg.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Joe Wilkes. Burial will be in Red Bluff Cemetery in Clio.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Frazier Lofton; one son, Richard Lofton of Clio; one daughter, Katherine Davis of Riverdale, GA; one sister, Cheryl L. Brown of Florence; a special aunt, Helen Hoskins of Clio; a special cousin, Donna McLain of Florence; two grandchildren, Tiara Davis of Riverdale and Terrance Davis of Clio, and other relatives.
Born in Evansville, IN, he was a son of the late R.T. and Nina Collins Lofton. Mr. Lofton was employed by Southern Packaging Company and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bennettsville. He graduated from Clio High School where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. He was a NASCAR fan and a Green Bay Packers fan.
