Kiev Mechela Marshall

Kiev Mechela Marshall, 39, of Biscoe passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Candor, officiated by Elder Carlos Campbell. Burial will follow at Freeman Hill Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

On March 29, 1984, a child was born into the world in Randolph County, North Carolina. The child was given the name Kiev Mechela Marshall by her father, Bobby Alexander Marshall and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Cunningham Marshall.

On February 27, 2019, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy by the name of Antwan Lamar Pollard by his father, Antonio Pollard.

Kiev was gifted with artistic talents. She could see a picture and draw it near perfection. Many people bragged on her artistic skills and requested drawings of portraits. She had many friends who talked about how they loved her personality and when she laughed, she had a way of making others laugh.

When you look at her son Antwan, it’s like looking at her when she was his age. Undeniable, that same beautiful smile. The laughter that she shared and love she gave to all will linger in the air forever.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Antwan L. Pollard; father, Bobby A. Marshall; brothers, Wayne Carlos Carpenter (Tina), Phillip Carpenter (Stephanie), Herve A. Marshall (Virginia), Gino S. Marshall, and Bruno J. Marshall; sisters, Yolanda G. Marshall, Briggite D. Marshall, and Crystal D. Marshall; and a host of relatives and friends.

The Marshall family thanks everyone for their kind expressions of love and support shown to us during this difficult time.
