Kenneth Steven "Jimmy" Mayo, 61, of 8141 McQueen Road died Sunday, March 1, at his home.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Randy Jackson. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hourihan Mayo; two sons, Mitchell Mayo of Laurinburg and Joseph Mayo of Point Pleasant, NJ; a daughter, Michelle Slocum of Laurinburg; a brother, Howard Donovan of Laurinburg; two sisters, Phyllis Fielder of Lawndale, CA and Cathel Tanner of Magnolia, DE; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cheyenne, Cody, Tabitha, Joshua, Leanza, Melody, and Benjamin.
Born May 3, 1947 in the Bronx, he was a son of the late Paul and Nellie White Mayo. He served 18 months in Vietnam with the US Army and later was vice-president for Jayden Construction/Denholtz Associates in New Jersey.
