Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Blake, 45, of Troy passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at Southside Cemetery in Troy, officiated by Rev. Carl Burrow. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service in Troy.

Born May 28, 1981, in Montgomery County, he was a son of John Edward Ledbetter, III of Troy and Beverly Shaw Ledbetter (Ricky) of Troy. Kenny had been employed with the NC Zoo for five years as a maintenance technician, and a former employee of Troy Lumber Company for many years. He loved sports and had coached Dixie Youth baseball. Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sandy Haywood Blake of the home; daughter, Carson Blake of the home; sons, Joshua Blake and William Blake of the home; brother, John Ledbetter (Jennifer) of Rock Hill, SC; nephew, Jed Ledbetter of Rock Hill, SC; and numerous cousins and friends.
