Kenneth Earl Blake, 80, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Tony Sedberry. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.

Born on February 22, 1946, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Herbert Blake and Opal Frick Blake.

Kenneth’s professional life was marked by his commitment and expertise in operating heavy machinery, a vocation he embraced for more than 40 years and loved. He was a man who cherished simple pleasures. Kenneth spent much of his free time fishing, and watching old westerns.

Kenneth is survived by his son, Danny Blake (Dawn) of Troy; grandsons, Kenneth Blake, and Daniel Blake (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Kayden, Karmin, and Dallas; and sisters, Carol Wright of Asheboro and Linda Morton Lemanski of Greenville, SC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Hinson Blake; brothers, James Blake, Frank Blake, Junior Blake, and Alvin Blake; and sisters, Betty Earnest, Gathy Poole, Ann Sasser, and Pauline McCormick.
