Mr. Kenneth Brandon Black, 66, of Rockingham died Thursday, March 13, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Monday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Goodman Black; two daughters, Brenda Black Covington (Ricky) of Laurinburg and Cheryl Black MacDonald of Fredericksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Keith Clark MacDonald, Walter Brandon Covington and Timothy Hugh Covington; a brother, J.D. Black of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters, Pat Woodcox of Lumber Bridge, NC and Joyce McCabe of Fayetteville, NC.
Born March 28, 1947 in Hoke County, he was a son of the late Armond D. and Josephine Biggs Black. Mr. Black was a graduate of Pembroke State University and later received his Master's in Education from UNC-Pembroke. He taught at Richmond Community College for 15 years, while teaching at University of Phoenix on line.
Visitation will be 4-5 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
