Kelton Jeffery

Kelton Jeffery, 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Adam Smith. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson. Due to Covid-19, seating will be limited for the service. All attendees are asked to wear a mask or another form of face covering and please practice social distancing. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, prior to the service in the chapel.

Born August 19, 1943 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Milton and Daisy Godwin Jeffery. After serving in the National Guard, he worked many years as a Motor Winder for General Electric.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Cook Jeffery of the home; four daughters, Angelia Jeffery, Cornelia Ann Holloway, Shirley Thornton and Deborah Labounty; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Mahoney, and three brothers, William Jeffery, Curtis Jeffery, and Larry Jeffery.
