Kaye Parsons Lewis

Kaye Parsons Lewis, 83, of Troy, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Troy, officiated by Vanlene Nelson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Born March 1, 1943, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late James and Edna McNeil Parsons. Kaye enjoyed spending her time dancing, exercising, and shopping. She especially loved the summer months; most of her afternoons were spent sunbathing by the pool. Kaye always enjoyed traveling, especially visiting the beach.

Most people knew Kaye as “Granny,” having dedicated her life to raising her 4 grandchildren, she earned that name from all their friends as well.

Kaye is survived by her sister, Brenda Rankin of Ellerbe; grandchildren, Terrion Brady (Bret Bean) of Troy, Zachary Davis (Austin) of Asheboro, Carley Davis (Tracy Parsons) of Troy, and Gunner Davis of Fort Riley, Kansas; her great-grandchildren, Mason Bean and Colton Bean; her beloved dog Prince and her grand pup Appa; and along with many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Lewis, and her daughter, Kristin Davis.
