Kay Hunsucker Lea

March 27, 1914 — June 30, 2006

Mrs. Kay Hunsucker Lea, 92, of Scotia Village and formerly of Gibson died Friday, June 30, 2006, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Monday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter, the Rev. Elizabeth Forester, and the Rev. Harold Salmon. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery in Gibson. Serving as pallbearers will be Wright Lea, Drew Warlick, Bill Lewis, III, Rob Lewis, Forrest Hunsucker, and Hollis Estes, Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Wright Lea, III and wife, Jo Ann of Laurinburg, J. Joel Lea and wife, Shirley of Laurinburg; a daughter, Winston Dwyer and husband, Gary of Gibson; a grandson, Wright Lea; three granddaughters, Angela Lea Nemecek, Kate Lea, and Madison Dwyer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Frank W. Lea, Jr., her daughter, Kaye Lea Gibson, and a brother Dr. W. C. Hunsucker.

Born March 27, 1914, in Gibson, she was the daughter of the late Kelly Auman and Shellie Marie Hurley Hunsucker. She attended Womana
