Miss Katie McLean, 88, formerly of Maxton died Sunday, August 20, in Wesley Pines in Lumberton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in Midway Presbyterian Church with Dr. Rodger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in McLean Family cemetery.

Born December 3, 1911 in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Roderick Jasper and Ora Blanche Bracey McLean. Miss Katie was a retired assistant tax clerk serving for over 30 years in Robeson County. A graduate of Appalachian State Teachers College in Boone, she was also a member of Midway Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his sisters; Lillian Baker of Lumberton and Blanche Lawing of Richmond, VA; a brother Jasper McLean of Laurinburg.

The family will receive friends today (Monday) from 7 to 9 PM in McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
