Mrs. Kathryn Pinkham "Kathy" Sparks, 56, died Tuesday, June 9, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the River of Life Ministries in Laurinburg officiated by the Rev. Hal Culberson. Burial will be 4 p.m. at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Sparks; a son, Jesse Williams of Rockingham; a daughter, Jennifer Williams of TN; a step-daughter, Kim Wilson of Greenville, SC; a brother, William Pinkham and wife, Paula of Virginia Beach; 3 grandchildren.
She was born November 23, 1952 in Virginia Beach, a daughter of the late William and Ethel Conway Pinkham. Kathy was injured over 30 years ago in an automobile accident and has since been an inspiration to others and proof of the enduring human spirit despite her many setbacks.
Memorials may be made to Destiny Christian School, c/o 12000 Blue Woods Rd., Laurinburg, NC 28352.
Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium, Laurinburg.
