Kathleen Walters Thrower, 86, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Scotia Village.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. C. F. McDowell, III. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by three sons, Ricky Thrower, Frankie Thrower, and Roger Thrower of Laurinburg; a sister, Lela Stubbs (Jesse) of Laurinburg; four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Born March 30, 1924 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Sarah Margaret Pittman Walters. She was a retired long-term employee of J. P. Stevens. Kathleen also enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.
