Katherine (Kakie) McIntyre White, 74, of 701 McCaskill Avenue, Maxton, NC, died Sunday, February 12th, 2006, at the Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst, NC, following a long illness. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 14th, at 4:00 pm at Center Presbyterian Church in Maxton, officiated by Rev. Dr. Douglas Hix, with burial following in the Church cemetery.
She was the widow of Ben A. White, to whom she was married for 51 years. She is survived by son Alex of Boston, MA; son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons Paul, Carol, Ty, and Ben of Carthage, NC; sister Flora Bell (Flossie) McIntyre Hooper of Reidsville, NC; brothers William H. McIntyre (Billy) and Malcolm (Mac) M. McIntyre of Laurinburg, NC; and 13 nieces and nephews.
She was born on August 2, 1931, in Laurinburg, NC, the daughter of the late B.C. and Sarah McCormick McIntyre. She was a 1949 graduate of Laurinburg High School and a 1953 graduate of Womena
