Julius Norton "June Bug" Taylor, 56, died suddenly Tuesday, December 4, at his home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at North View Harvest Ministries officiated by the Revs. Kenneth Blease and David Taylor. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his father, J. Erwin Taylor of Laurinburg; his mother, Beulah Norton Taylor of Laurinburg; a son, Julius "Spanky" Taylor, II of Laurinburg; four daughters, Sharon Scott of Maxton, Rachel Taylor of Lexington, SC, Kristen Newman of Augusta, GA, and Kaitlynn Taylor of McColl, SC; a brother, Dewey Taylor of Laurinburg; a sister, Ethel Chavis of Appalachia, VA; six grandchildren, Alan Taylor of Lexington, SC, Jazmin Scott of Maxton, Preston "Man" Scott, II of Maxton, Dylan Taylor of Laurinburg, Janiah Taylor of Laurinburg, and Georgia Newman of Augusta, GA.
He was born May 25, 1951 in Scotland County and was employed by Champion Products, now Hanes Brands. Julius dearly loved his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
