Julie McKinnon Caddell, 32, passed away August 2. She was the daughter of of Danny and Carolina Caddell.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
A member of the Class of 1999 at Scotland High School, Julie was active in the Marching Band and the Color Guard. After high school she attended Appalachian State University.
Julie attended Laurinburg Presbyterian Church and loved her times spent with her youth group at Montreat and working with children and the church day care.
Always loving, Julie held special reverence for her family, friends, and animals, and found her joy at helping others especially if they were down and out. Following Hurricane Katrina, she went to the aid of many left homeless by working with disaster relief in Port Arthur. Her faith and compassion was lived through her love for others.
Julie is survived by her parents, Danny and Carolina Grady Caddell; her brother and sister-in-law, Robbie and Melissa Caddell; her sister and brother-in-law, Kristi and Jason Huddleson; her grandmother, Charito Grady; her niece, Hannah Caddell; her nephews, Charlie Caddell and Landon Huddleson; and her boyfriend, David Stewert. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marshall and Mary Caddell and Frank Grady.
