Juanita M. (Woodside) Williams

Juanita Woodside Williams, 96, of Laurinburg, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2022 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson.  Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

She was born on May 5, 1926 in New Hanover County, NC to the late Willie Woodside and Gertie Hewett Woodside.  Ms. Williams retired after 18 years of service with Abbott Laboratories and was a longtime member of East Laurinburg Baptist Church where she was a former treasurer and a member of the nomination committee. She had many interests which included reading, sewing, cooking and needle craft.  She cared so much for people and would do anything for them. Her caring nature for others led her to volunteer at Scotland Memorial Hospital and she was very active in her church.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Graham of Pflugerville, TX; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William “Bill” Williams; her son, Steve Williams, her brother, Bill Woodside; and her sister, Frances Yocom.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the family.
