Joyce Gillis Reynolds

Joyce Gillis Reynolds, 81, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Joyce was born July 4, 1941, to the late J. D. and Willa Dean Gillis of Biscoe, North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry A. Reynolds of Jacksonville, Florida; sons, Johnny Reynolds; Randy Reynolds and wife Deborah; Steve Reynolds and wife Christy, all of Jacksonville Florida.  Other survivors include her brother, Jimmy Gillis and wife Breta of Troy, North Carolina; sister Kimberly Gillis Creed of Lexington North Carolina; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews and one great nephew.

Joyce enjoyed taking care of her flowers, cooking, and spending time with her family.  Her memory will be cherished as one who always put others above herself, which was truly her greatest joy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Love Joy United Methodist Church, 1137 Substation Road, Troy, North Carolina, 27371. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm also at Love Joy United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Garry Sims.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
