Born July 15, 1940 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Jimmy and Virginia Williams Nassif.

Joyce’s professional commitment was evident in her career at Abbott Laboratory, where she devoted 25 years of exemplary service before her well-deserved retirement. Her work ethic and reliability made a positive impact on colleagues and the organization alike, reflecting her deep sense of responsibility and integrity.

Outside of her professional life, Joyce found fulfillment in a range of personal interests and passions. She cherished decorating her home for every occasion, ensuring that each celebration—no matter how big or small—was marked with warmth and beauty. Shopping and crafting brought her joy, and she had an undeniable talent for baking delightful treats for those she loved. Joyce especially treasured sitting on the porch, surrounded by the comfort of her home, and she relished trips to the beach whenever possible. Most importantly, she valued the time spent with her family above all else, forming deep and lasting bonds that will endure in their memories.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Parker Taylor (Ricky) of Laurinburg; son, Michael Lynn Parker (Debbie) of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Richard Lee Taylor (Laurin), Cody Allen Parker (Amanda), and Michael Christopher Parker (Casey); her great-grandchildren, Carmen Leigh Taylor, Tallon Lee Taylor, Wyatt Parker, Luna Parker, Michael Wayne Parker, Vivian Sage Parker, and Raylan Cash Parker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles M. Parker; son Charles “Buddy” Allen Parker; brother, Charles Martin Nassif; and born into Heaven great grandchild, Carson Lee Taylor.

Joyce Nassif Parker’s life will be remembered for her dedication to her career, her many talents and passions, and, most significantly, the love she shared with her family and those close to her. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness and devotion, and she will be deeply missed.
