Joyce Ann (Harris) Brown

Joyce Ann Harris Brown, 82, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Atrium Health Stanly County, Albemarle.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Cemetery, Troy, officiated by Rev. Brantley Moore.

Born November 3, 1937 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late James Frank and Lillie Hurley Harris.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of Trinity Circle 3 and a longtime member of the Child Study Club.  She was a very giving person who was generous to her community and friends.  She had a special bond with children and young people.  She will be missed by many.  Joyce’s lifelong career was in sales and accounting.

She is survived by one son, William Brown; one grandson, Hurley Brown; siblings: Betty Jane Harris Fuller, Frank Mitchell Harris (Debbie), James Hurley Harris (Priscilla), Max Eugene Harris (Judy) and Kimberly Sue Harris Walker (Mickey); loved by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
