Joseph “Joe” Franklin Parsons, 68, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Parsons Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Tony Sedberry. The service will be live streamed on our Facebook page. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a mask or another form of face covering. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Attendance will be monitored.
Born January 13, 1953 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Leonard Leet and Clara Thompson Cranford Parsons. He was an upholsterer for Klaussner Furniture for over forty plus years. His greatest joys in life were coaching little league baseball, deer hunting, fishing at the coast, and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Rocky Creek Cowboy Fellowship.
He is survived by his son, Jonathan “Jon” Parsons (Anna) of Wilmington; his daughter, Angela Parsons Sedberry (Jonathan) of Troy; five grandchildren, Conner Parsons, Collin Parsons, Gracianna Parsons, Joseph Sedberry and Jackson Sedberry; his brother, Leet Parsons of Candor; and his sister Cindy Parsons Blake of Mt. Gilead. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Craig, and his sister, Janice Craig Bridges.
