Mr. Johnny Thomas Prevatt, 75, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium chapel followed by interment in Hillside Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hill Prevatt of the home; sons, Kirt Prevatt, & Brandon Prevatt, both of Laurel Hill; daughters Lorrie Prevatt, Anne Haywood, Kelly Prevatt, all of Laurinburg, Nannette Emmanuel of Laurel Hill, & Sheila Lowery of Marston; his sister, Mary Trujillo of New Mexico; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Born December 21, 1939 in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Martha Smith Prevatte. He served as a mechanical welder for Waverly and Fieldcrest Mills and later at Woodard. In his spare time he loved building cabinets, tinkering and his grandkids.
