Johnny Joe Greene

Johnny Joe Greene, 59, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Main Street Baptist Church in Biscoe, officiated by Pastor Chris Mabe.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks are suggested and please practice social distancing.

Born on May 16, 1962, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Barney Alvin and Opal Parker Greene.  Johnny was a fixer in the textile industry and he loved wrestling.  He was a caring person with a good heart.  Johnny would give you the shirt off of his back or even his last dollar.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Greene of Monroe; five sisters, Joyce Rouse and Janice Greene, both of Troy, Shirley Blankenship of Mt. Gilead, Donna Casteen of Troy and Patty Greene of Biscoe; two brothers, Roger Greene of SC and Billy Ray Greene of Star; and grandchildren, Nicholas Chambers, Nahara Chambers, Christian Jimenez, and Arianna Rosales.  He is preceded in death by his brothers, James David Greene and JR Greene.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service.
