Mr. John Franklin Rye, 55, of 6700 Walters Road died Saturday, August 19, at his home.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hillside Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating.
Born March 26, 1945 in Scotland Co., he was a son of the late Franklin and Martha Stewart Rye. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his son; John F. Rye, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, four sisters; Betty Lighthall and Isolene Smith both of Gibson, Barbara Bunnell and Patricia Cox both of Laurel Hill, three brothers; Fred Rye of Laurel Hill, Jack Rye of Newport, Vermont and Rodney Rye of Gibson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill.
