John Carl Millard

Mr.John Carl "Jack" Millard, 77, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. C.F. McDowell, III.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Jerman Millard of the home; one daughter, Melanie Marcure of Laurinburg; one sister, Ann Horst of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren, Cody Marcure and Haylee Marcure of Laurinburg; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Born January 15, 1933 in St. Clair County, IL, he was a son of the late Carl Paul and Margaret Vivian Woodard Millard. Jack was a graduate of Central Methodist University and until retirement worked at Marley Electric. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the UFO Club and the Couples Sunday School Class. Jack was also a member of the Young At Hearts Senior Citizen Club and volunteered at Scotland Memorial Hospital as long as his health would permit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wee Care Daycare Center c/ o First Baptist Church, PO Box 883, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 19, 5 – 7 p.m. at 401 Sherbrooke Circle.
