John Keven Hopkins, II, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 41.
Family and friends are invited to gather in his honor during a visitation on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Joey Williams at Bumgarner Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel.
Born on January 28, 1985, in Scotland County, Keven is the son of June Sharon Clark Hopkins and the late John Keven Hopkins.
Keven's personality was marked by his love for the outdoors and a multitude of hobbies that brought joy to his life. He took pleasure in washing cars, showcasing his meticulous nature and appreciation for detail. His fondness for tennis shoes and music reflected his vibrant spirit, while his interest in coin collecting illustrated his curiosity and love for history. One of his most cherished traits was his desire to help others and his deep love for animals.
Keven is survived by his devoted mother, June Sharon Hopkins of the home; his sister, Jennifer Lynn Hopkins of Laurinburg; his niece, Isabella Marie Hopkins of Greenville, NC; and his nephew, Thomas Hunter Hopkins of Youngsville, NC. He also leaves behind many special uncles, aunts, cousins, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Keven Hopkins, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Jimmie and Ora Hopkins; and his maternal grandparents, James T. and June S. Clark.
