Mr. J. Henry Thompson, 87, of 600 Bryant Circle, died Sunday July 24, 2005 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Mack McMillan. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Born September 22, 1917 in Whiteville, he was a son of the late John William and Janie Bell Bright Thompson. He was a foreman with Hasty Plywood for forty years. Henry also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his son, James Thompson of Laurinburg; three daughters, Linda Spencer and husband, Jim, and Deborah Thompson Dial of Laurinburg, and Rose Woollen of Arlington, VA; a sister, Frances Hester of Bladenboro; twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
