Mr. John Fredrick Goodwin, 67, died Monday, August 25, 2008, in Laurel Hill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the West Rockingham United Methodist Church where Mr. Goodwin was a member.
He is survived by one son, John Cody Goodwin of the home; a step-daughter, Julie Parker of Conway, SC; a sister, Patricia Swink and husband, Jerry of Marshville, NC; a special niece, Kimberly Caulder Roberson of Anderson, SC.
Born July 8, 1941 in Richmond County, NC, he was a son of the late John Coy and Ethel Diggs Goodwin.. Mr. Goodwin was a retired long distance truck driver with LG Dewitt Company.
Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. US Hwy. 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
