John Everette Earhart Newton

John Everette Earhart Newton, 34 passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. John will be remembered as a loving steady man, a gentle energetic friend and a caring devoted son.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Lauchlin McNeill Cemetery (25201 N Turnpike Rd, Wagram, NC) officiated by Pastor Neill McKay.

Born August 8, 1989 in Scotland County, he is the son of W. Whit Newton and Shannon Rowan Newton of Wagram. John was a happy, loving person who never met a stranger. His warm smile and friendly demeanor always stood out. He was a vital part of the family farm. He loved gardening and cooking. John especially found purpose in cleaning soybeans, wheat and rye for local farmers.

John loved his all his family and friends, but especially loved and always looked forward to spending time with his many cousins.
