Mr. Joey Michael Walters, 54, of Malbay Lane died suddenly Wednesday, April 5, at his home.
Funeral services will be 3:00p.m. Sunday at the Multitudes Church officiated by Rev. Opie Swails. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He was born in Bennettsville, SC and graduated from Scotland High School. He served in the US Army Security as an interpreter in Viet Nam. He was a computer analysis with Martin Marietta.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia S. Walters; his parents, L.T. and Mildred "Bill" Walters of Laurel Hill; a brother, Pat Walters of Laurinburg; nephews, Thom Walters of Laurinburg and Glenn Walters of Ft. Mill, SC; a niece, Kasey Walters, a student at Winthrop College.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium, Laurinburg.
