Mr. Joey Bland Durham, Sr., 59, of Blue Drive died Thursday, December 1, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stan Smith and Rev. John Cottingham. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Born March 9, 1946 in Marlboro County, SC, he was a son of the late Clarence Lee and Sarah Hearn Durham. He attended Laurinburg Schools and Pembroke State University. Mr. Durham worked at Klopman Mills and J.P. Stevens. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Ed Guest Class. His hobbies were golfing and fishing, and he also loved to dance as well as spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Delaine Durham of the home; one son, Joey B. Durham, Jr. and his wife Wendy, of Winston Salem; one sister, Nancy Sue Davis and husband, Clyde of Asheville; two grandchildren, Carley Delana Durham and Jonah Hayden Durham; one nephew, Lee Davis and family of Columbia, SC.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
