Joe Douglas Hurley, of Montgomery County, North Carolina, passed away at his residence on September 4, 2026 at the age of 93.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 412 Bell St, Troy, North Carolina. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Daniel Luther. Interment will take place at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 1100 Horseshoe Bend Road, Troy, North Carolina.
