Joe "Fruit" Edward Lewis

Joe “Fruit” Edward Lewis, 58, of Troy, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at Lomax Memorial Baptist Church in Troy, officiated by the Rev. Ricky Chappell. Visitation will follow the service at Joe’s residence.

Born March 28, 1960 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late James Willard Lewis Sr. and Eva Jenette Ledbetter Lewis. He loved Nascar, westerns which mostly included John Wayne movies, war movies and was a History buff. He collected pocket knives and Nascar cards.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Angela Chappell Lewis of the home; stepson, Dustin Crisco (Jennifer) of Troy; siblings, James Willard Lewis Jr. of Albemarle, Jerry “Pete” Don Lewis of Seagrove, Johnny Ray Lewis of Wilmington, Garon Lewis-Singer of Robbins and Ruth Lewis Parker of Robbins; grandchildren, Kenleigh Renee Crisco and Sawyer Lynn Crisco; and a host of nieces and nephews.
