Joan Bistline Hawkins, 82, died July 29.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Morris Morgan Room, Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Forester.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Wuestenfeld of Anchorage, AK and Kathi Schrein of Hiram, GA; a sister, Barbara Tauber of Hollidaysburgh, PA; 4 grandchildren.
Born July 12, 1929 in Chambersburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Maryl O. and Beula King Bistline and widow of the late Jesse Mill Hawkins. She lived in Akron, Ohio and later retired to Pinehurst and later Laurinburg, NC. Joan enjoyed traveling especially going to the beach, reading, sewing, and playing bridge.
