Mrs. Jo Sandra Ambrose Hatchell, 62 of 506 E. Vance St. died Tuesday May 30, 2006 at her home.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday June 3, 2006 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She was born September 11, 1943 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of Rudy and Virginia Chesney Ambrose. Jo Sandra was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. She made many blankets for her family and friends. She was also a very good cook, loved to work in the yard and had a "green thumb" with plants.
Surviving is her husband George Robert Hatchell of Laurinburg; son, George Robert "Bobby" Hatchell, Jr. of Laurinburg; daughters, Virginia Baker and husband, Jerry of Laurinburg, Sherie Wentz and husband Junior of Spartanburg, SC and Rubilynn Hatchell of Laurinburg; her mother Virginia Ambrose of Statesville, NC; a brother Jerry Ambrose of Michigan and a sister Pam Reich of Statesville. Also surviving are five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Ambrose and a daughter, Barbara Hatchell Bowyer.
