Jimmy N. Beasley

Jimmy Neal Beasley, age 83, of Laurel Hill, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, located at 305 E Church St, Laurinburg, NC 28352, officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd. Burial will follow with military rites at Laurinburg Memorial Park.

Born on July 16, 1942, in Scotland County, he was a son to the late Winfred Lacy and Ruth Edward Beasley.

Jimmy was in the service to his country as a member of the United States Army, earning the PRC HT Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He had a long and fulfilling career as a mechanic at J.P. Stevens.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Perkins (Carmon) of Laurinburg, Lisa Hunt (James) of Wagram and Jenny Cox (Randy) of Lumberton; step-children, Janet Denise Norton (Jonathan Drew) of Laurel Hill, James Darrell Seals (Rachel) of Laurinburg and Danny Cential Seals (Kim) of Laurinburg; brothers, Bobby Beasley of Lillington and Ronnie Beasley of Wilson; and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Luther (Wiley), Mildred Doss, and Peggy Locklear all of Laurinburg, and Joyce Barton (Darrell) of Maxton; grandchildren, Craig Black, Aaron Hunt (Retta), Morgan Oxendine (Mark), Shelby Hunt, Ronald Soles, Kaitlin Soles, Jess Seals, Shantial Seals, Danyah Norton, Dacota Norton, Dalton Norton, MicKenna Moser; and was blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 26 years, Janet Darlene Beasley; grandson, Brian Black; step-granddaughter, Mia Bourchier; and sister, Janice Currie.
